I've been painting over some old original acrylic paintings that were done back in the late 1990's when I was using inexpensive student grade paint that tended to fade over the years.  High Meadow Sundown is one of the new 'recycled' paintings.  I didn't take it out of the frame because it was nailed directly to the stretcher, and I wanted to save the expense of building or buying a new frame for such a large painting.  I had to touch up the inner wood liner on the frame with white paint.  I changed the painting considerably, and I am really pleased with how much better it looks now.
